Food is a fundamental human right and vital for overall health and wellbeing. Food is plentiful across Manitoba, yet many people lack the money to consistently feed their families enough food. Food insecurity is the lack of food due to income. Food insecurity is a serious public health problem that negatively impacts the physical, mental, and social health of individuals, families and communities.
